cfoe: My take was that the BAT people are going to follow in Qualcomm's footsteps - They are going to sell their technology to whomever. They will sell to a party who in turn will make phones for a another party.

Good for Qualcomm. The best technology is not always selected for whatever reason. The more 'ways' we can get CDMA into phones the better. From a Qualcomm shareholder perspective - it makes no difference what the phone name plate says as long as CDMA is inside.
