A look at a group of rapidly depleting small Canadian miners.

Richmont: 96K in 2000, 500k exploration
Nugget Pond/Hammerdown; 55k @ cc 140, depleted 2005
Francouer 24K in 2000, depleted
Beufour 17K in 2000, depleted

McWatters: 237K in 2000
Sigma Lamaque 150K @ cc 245, closed, costs and operating difficulties.
Kiena 87K, 175K reserves, depleted in 2002

Miramar:
Yellowknife look like 140K this year @ cc 250, depleted in 2004. MAE is involved in an important exploration project at Hope Bay. Problematic at 268 POG.

Campbell produced 38K in 2000. Mines are now closed.

River Gold: 85K in 2000.
Eagle River 52K to 2008
Edwards produced 33K in 2000. Announced closure July, 01, depleted.

These small mines, several already closed or closing will remove another 511K production by mid-decade.

So far I have covered 33.5 million of the 55.8 million 2000 production covered at Goldsheets (my working list). That's 57% of company reported (western)world production. I calculate that 9.4 million (28%) of my 33.5 to date will deplete between 2001-2005. I have determined only a handful of replacement (1.85 million oz)projects. Those were noted in my last post. Therefore to maintain 2000 levels those depleted mines will need to be replaced over the next four years.
