Mary - regarding the number of shareholders of ASTN. According to a recent webcast, there are 17,000 shareholders, not 300. The reason why only several hundred are listed as being "of record" in the Annual Report is that when customers of a B/D (say, Schwab) are listed, they are lumped together (for "record" purposes only) under the B/D who holds their shares in an account. Of course, you knew that, right?
BTW - I neither created the "private" message boards for ASTN, nor am I among the more active participants in the ones that exist. The reason they exist is so people can speak their minds without having their words twisted beyond recognition by people with an agenda or a truly twisted perspective (or both), or otherwise being subjected to abusive behavior that is rampant on the public message boards. There is no conspiracy of silence -- just a desire not to feed the animals at the zoo (the public message boards).
As for "attacking" you in a "disgusting way", it seems to me you are doing more than your share of inappropriate attacking. And whatever you want to say about the miscreants on Yahoo (and there are more than a few, both "long" and "short"), please leave me out of it -- I have never attacked you in any "disgusting" or inappropriate terms. I have always responded to you with civility even if I disagree vehemently with something you have said, a courtesy you have rarely extended to me. So forgive me if I choose to correct statements you make that are factually inaccurate, and/or disagree with what you say analytically -- I do disagree with a great deal of what you say about ASTN and I have the right to clear the record when you tarnish it. But what you can't say -- to me anyway -- is that my posts to you have been anything other than civil -- I have been far more civil and respectful to you than you have ever been to me, from the first e-mail you sent to me and since.
5.1 Million shares of NYSE listed securities traded on eVWAP today. That's break even, Mary. What marvelous piece of hyperbole do offer in response to that? On second thought, never mind.
