Quehubo, regarding home builders: I heard on the radio recently that Lennar is offering all kinds of free options on their homes. Could that be a sign of cracks in their boom story? I hope so as I went short last week, my timing was too early for sure but I've got patience.

Also heard on the radio Gallery Furniture, a local phenomenon here in Houston, is having a massive furniture sale. Their reason - "furniture sales have slowed nationwide and we were able to get some great wholesale deals". Just one more tiny piece in an economic puzzle that doesn't look healthy at all.

Stock markets around the world getting slapped, the economy at home in big trouble, the stock market at historic high valuations eclipsed only by last year's height of madness, epic levels of debt, layoffs on a biblical scale. What's going to be the fuel for any sustained rally?
