Mon 23 Jul 2001 News Release
Mr. Kevin Yorio reports USA Video Interactive has been approved for listing on the Berlin Stock Exchange and began trading last Friday, July 20, 2001, under the symbol
"USF." Berliner Freiverkehr (Aktien) AG, one of the largest brokerage firms in Germany and a market maker in markets in Berlin, Frankfurt and Stuttgart, is acting as a market maker for the company's stock. The listing allows German investors to buy shares in local currency and helps establish a more significant presence in Europe for USA Video Interactive.
USA Video Interactive also has retained the services of Makro GMBH of Hamburg, Germany, to promote the company's business and products in Germany, including arranging sales meetings and other conferences. Makro GMBH also prepared the documentation necessary for USA Video Interactive's
listing on the Berlin Stock Exchange. The Berlin Stock Exchange has three
market segments: the official market; the regulated market; and the
unofficial regulated market. USA Video Interactive is trading on the
unofficial regulated market, which represents approximately 90 per cent of
all companies listed in Germany.
"Listing on the Berlin exchange helps our global expansion initiatives,
particularly with our patent already approved and in effect in Germany, and
with one of our clients being Phenomedia, Germany's largest content
creator," said Edwin Molina, president and chief executive officer of USA
Video Interactive. "As we complete the deployment of StreamHQ this summer,
it further reinforces that our rich media streaming technology has
applications worldwide."
Phenomedia, Germany's largest creator of entertainment content for PCs,
video game systems, the Internet, interactive television and mobile device
platforms, contracted USA Video Interactive to provide streaming media
services for its customers and started by streaming content for
Phenomedia's client, Ferrero. Ferrero, a leading chocolate company in
Germany, has launched a series of creative on-line games to promote its
products and USA Video Interactive is streaming one of the commercials
embedded in these games.
WARNING: The company relies upon litigation protection for
"forward-looking" statements.
