"Chip Sets !! i870 - i830 i845 (BrookDale)" Well, we are talking about replacing 100 million+ 0.18 micron processors a year. That's a lot of chipsets... "XScale CPUs" Ditto. The replacement for the SA1110, Covalis, is supposed to have a tiny die. Besides, XScale is SOI and that means more equipment. "ITanium IA 64" Uh huh. How many of these will be sold a quarter? 1k, maybe? On reflection, though, that just might soak up all the capacity... Isn't Merced still on 0.25 micron?
