The stock market decline you cite began last year while Clinton was President so if it is a recession, which I doubt, it is the Cliton/Gore recession no dsoubt exacerbated by the lack of energy policy during those eight years. The actions of Bush and Greenspoan in cutting taxes and interests rates can be expected to bolster the economy in 6-9 months if history repeats itself.... JLA
