Compost is good!!!! I turn mine about twice a week. And no, I don't have one of those fasionable roller kind. mine is a big pile with horse shit on one side vergie on the other side, and some lime, it's like doing a cocktail mix properly if you know what I mean. I have a 60X40 garden, and it loves me as much as I love it. But slugs and other vilinous vermit I don't tollerate, especially when I feel the need to feed the family on it. While I don't like to kill things either, I dod take out a rabit earlier this sprinmg, and I need to take care of this wgroundhog soon, he's eaten 20 broccoli 15 cabbage and numerous kolorabis to the num. This spring he went maybe 10 lbs, right now he could pass for a large dog. His days are numbered!!!!!
