from briefing.com--i don't share your enthusiasm<<Live Headline 23-Jul-01 Semi Equip Book Bill : The semiconductor equipment book/bill ratio reported by SEMI (Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International) was 0.54 in June, up from 0.48 in May and a mean estimate of 0.53 that Briefing.com gathered from 4 brokerage firms. Once again, the increase in the ratio obscured a continued decline in orders, which fell slightly to $704.7 mln in June from a revised $714.0 mln in May (revised from $704 mln). Shipments fell at a faster pace, to $1515 mln from $1657 mln.
