Ken and Mike B,

Your two Siebel posts puzzle me, as does Ken's remarks about Ntap, in two respects. Why sell now rather than wait for an up day or two in the market? And why sell against all your core holdings?

First, timing. I hold shares in both Ntap and Siebel with thoughts of writing August ccs but, as I've watched the ebb and flow of premium prices over the past two months of learning, I find myself agreeing with several posters here who have argued that one tries to sell ccs when optimism reins, then buy them back when pessimism hits.

Your posts suggest you have some other rationale. Would you share it?

Second, both of you seem to be writing on core holdings. Both of you say you are writing, in fact, against all of your holdings in Sebl, if I read you correctly.

That strikes me as a very bold move compared to either writing against shares explicitly set aside for cc writing or against a portion of your core shares. Again, I'm interested in your reasoning.

Way back on the learning curve,

John
