yep, unload risk on someone else...and on someone else...and on someone else...until somebody sucks wind, big time! something the article doesn't touch upon: structured finance also means that a LOT more credit was extended than in previous booms, and to much less creditworthy borrowers. i don't believe for a second that systemic risk has diminished, on the contrary!
