"Short of an international crisis or inflation, I think gold is very uninteresting," said Alfred Goldman, chief market strategist at A.G. Edwards & Sons in St. Louis. "It's a pain to store, you can't eat it, it doesn't look good hanging on the wall, and if you own bullion, you can't scrape off a bit to get $500."
