Today I took a run along the seaside here in sunny California, tourists all over the beach. And the usual point of rock I was not allowed to cross as the lifeguard warned me not too, it was closed. Ah, America, the former land of freedom - now lifeguards ordering us around - not an American in sight that saw this as wrong. We lose more freedom daily in this country.
Americans take it for granted, they forget what Jefferson, Washington and the crowd that founded FREEDOM - what this really means. Many have become fat (60%), lazy, with no responsiblity or care for their fellow beings - individualism has been carried to an extreme here. 4 teenagers brutaly beat in the local mountain canyon I once hiked and explored as a teenager - and by other teens, no respect, no control, a generation raised on we can have whatever we want - and do whatever we want, in the age of out of control government and leadership no longer setting the example. President with blowjobs in the WH, a congressman cheating on his wife and potentialy involved in a crime....
Ah yes, this bout of reality is needed for this country, it needs to feel some pain, it needs to relize there are risks and that the government cannot always look after you. Maybe after this is all over Americans will be more willing to fight for their freedom, be more willing to save for a rainy day like their grandparents, appreciate what a dollar represents, understand life is in the simple, get back to a value, honesty, respect for each other - FREEDOM. For now this has been lost, parents not raising their kids right, too busy chasing the 5000 square foot house, the BMW, the clothes, the trips, the boats - instead of understanding life is about simple things. Family, free time, a wife that does not have to work and can raise a family, having less so you can be the scout leader or coach of his T ball game, time to be with loved ones, good values based on simple things.
Ah the future, it may just dawn bright again oneday. The Republic may not end up a failure bigger than the Roman fall.
