7:45AM Semi Equip Book/Bill : CSFB notes that front-end semi equipment booking were up but calls the increase unsustainable, and says that while stocks may want to rally into this number, CSFB would be a seller.

7:37AM Kulicke & Soffa (KLIC) 16.15: Reports Q3 pro forma loss of $0.10 a share, vs consensus estimate of -$0.18; including items loss for the qtr was $0.19. Sales declined 51.2% to $130.9 mln. Company's "best estimate" for Q4 revenues is a range of $90-$105 mln (consensus 122.3 mln).

6:36AM Semi Equip Book Bill : The semiconductor equipment book/bill ratio reported by SEMI (Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International) was 0.54 in June, up from 0.48 in May and a mean estimate of 0.53 that Briefing.com gathered from 4 brokerage firms. Once again, the increase in the ratio obscured a continued decline in orders, which fell slightly to $704.7 mln in June from a revised $714.0 mln in May (revised from $704 mln). Shipments fell at a faster pace, to $1311 mln from $1485 mln.
