Now now
I AM judgmental. And I am proud of that. I just happen to be tolerant as well as judgmental. We all have the right to be judgmental as long as we don't act out, in negative ways, that hurt society and our fellow men and women. There are many, many things I think are wrong based on my own derived moral code. And I am unyielding and judgmental about the things I think of as wrong. But I so not wish to use the machinery of the state to punish people who do things I think are wrong UNLESS those things destroy society. Take drug use. I don't use any drugs. I think even the immoderate use of alcohol is VERY very wrong. I am very judgmental about drug alcohol and cigarette abuse. I resent the health toll it probably takes on our society. BUT I wouldn't criminalize any of it. Let people use what they want- it is less destructive to society. Wanton outbursts of reforming zeal like prohibition and the "war" on drugs, are stupid misguided attempts and always result in much more destruction to the fabric of out society than the underlying "evil" ever did (imo, yada yada).

So I argue I am judgmental. I just don't enforce my judgments on anyone but myself. Which is as it should be (she said in her MOST self righteous voice).
