HUNTSVILLE, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 24, 2001--Avocent Corporation (NASDAQ: AVCT) today announced the deployment of its DS1800(TM) switching solution in the Microsoft Partner Solutions Center (MPSC) in Redmond, WA. The MPSC is a state-of-the-art lab and training facility that provides a working environment for network service providers to architect, build, test and secure, end-to-end network solutions, which can be quickly customized and rolled out to customers. Developers can design and launch solutions using Microsoft technologies and those of selected technology partners. Avocent's DS1800 KVM OVER IP(TM) technology provides connectivity and application services to the labs, workrooms, offices and training rooms throughout the facility.
