I think we still have not heard the entire strategy. There might be some projects/ideas in process that Mr. S did not like. Anyway, Mr. S was busy investing his time and money in other ventures. His job is done in my opinion. He was waiting for the grand opening of the Toll Gate and now the gates are open for operation. An Entrepeneur has to move on.

Where does our Toll Gate go from here is the question. No other company in the wireless arena can come close to the strength that QCOM is showing at this point.

Just to give you a small small example:

One rumor that I have heard is that the entire wireless world needs/wants the Snaptrak technology. They know there is no other viable solution out there. So what is the problem in get it? PRICE. QCOM is not willing to lower the price of licensing and the technology. That my friends shows the strength of this company. Companies hate QCOM the company and QCOM the management but they can not do anything about it because in the end they have to deal with them on different fronts: royalty, licensing, ASIC, software, etc.
