my personal views about global
citizenship probably belong in
the 22nd century and i won't
bother stating them here now.

but on the practical side, given
the current popular opinion in
the united states, this is probably
a workable step toward my vision of
a global community that could be
supported by current political
and economic thought.

many steps to go, but a journey
of a thousand miles begins with
one step and continues step by
step. nafta was a good first step.
this proposal by fox - bush would
be a good second step.
