An emulator would be no problem, as the StrongARM chips runs about 60x faster than the dragonball, so that emulation is likely to be faster than running native on the dragonball. Xscale would be 300x faster (assuming a linear increase in performance between StrongARM and Xscale based on MHz alone). This was a move that Palm should have made 1+ years ago. Their product is looking kind of stale compared to PocketPC devices. Although Intel is unlikely to win all the designs on the Palm front, I think if they have similar success tot he PocketPC environment, this should result in a good source of new sales.
