Have you been subject to torture and forced confession? Have you been subject to search and seizure without due process? Not me personally but property is routinely seized in drug cases even if the person it is seized from has not been convicted. The big reform was to change the standard to a preponderance of evidence. It used to be probable cause combined with the person the property was seized from being unable to prove his or her innocence. Law enforcement groups love it because they get to keep part or sometimes all of the value of the goods seized. reason.com reason.com Tim
