Au contraire, look at the chart. While the overall trend is up I'm still ahead having only played the short side -- this is a volatile stock. When trying to determine if its a good candidate for shorting use a chart that has more than a couple of months on it. Same goes for buying a stock. The last couple of years history can be quite useful.

Also, there is more to value than brand identity. Look a little deeper. I may biuy something once based on brand, but if it doesn't perform or live up to my expectations I take a look around the next time. I know lotsa folks that have relied on AOL for their small business needs and have been burned.
