Is a fetus a child? The courts and most importantly SCIENCE, do not deem IT as such. I agree with them. The courts are simply a group of judges with their own opinion. Science doesn't say anything about issues like this it only gives you facts on which you can base your arguments. It can be a tool that you use to help you reach a conclusion but it can not give you the conclusion. You must take those facts and combine them with non-scientific ideas to reach a conclusion on issues like these. One of the scientific facts is that a fetus is an individual member of the species homo-sapiens. The question "Does this individual member of the species homo-sapiens have a right to life", is beyond the scope of science. Tim
