Hawaii will always do well with tourism. But the fact is, many people are free to live where they choose -- and there are people with technical ability who choose to live in Hawaii. It is a small part of the overall economy, but with only 1 million people here, even a small number can have a big impact. As I said before, Hawaii now has the most favorable tax treatment for hi tech start-ups of any state in the US -- its a fact. More and more are showing interest in this. It is cheaper to be here than San Jose, or San Francisco or Tokyo. Aloha.
