Why does it not surprise me that you're the head cook in your household? You're the recipe king. -g

You're so right about fatty food intake and gall bladder disease. I remember my mother vomiting through the night after what she called "a rich meal" back then. Your wife is lucky to have such an attentive and knowlegable cook in the house.

And your description of your friend's triple whammy!! My Gawd, I can't imagine that combination of sugeries all at once. Ow, ow, and ow.
