I know this may come as a surprise to you but we are in more danger of going into a recession I know this may come as a surprise to you, but business cycles happen. And there isn't a thing to be done about it. Your remark reflects your shallowness. What, exactly, would be the point of this "meeting" with the EU? To tell them we don't want an economic recession and they'd better do something about it or else? Do you REALLY believe the current economic problems wouldn't have occurred under Clinton? Have you seen something Bush did that caused the downturn to deepen? It was clear, that when the economic downturn occurred, it would be serious. After all, we had had this period of irrational exhuberance. People who blame Bush for this mess are misplacing their blame due to a lack of understanding of basic economics.
