Your statement is partially true as compared to deals that JDSU NT LU & CSCO undertook. However, some of those CEOs who did the deals will not be around to see the good times.
CREE still has $350 M in intangibles on books - $5 / share out of $7.8 total book value. Just don't be so surprised if writeoffs of $1 to $2 a share make CREE tank.

CREE was $52.5 post split since announcing UltraRF purchase. I am sure that SSO buyers at $40 are just plain happy campers too.

In addition, I posted an eetimes link about 2-3 months ago that indicated that UltraRF sales team was primarily acting as distributors of other component manufacturers power devices since market for power devices in general is in the tanks.
