All - Just for information on Mike Burke, who no longer posts here, as the bulls really lambasted him, as they concentrated on his bad call on MU, while ignoring his good calls. Mike predicted MU earnings to be around 50 cents due to DRAM price increases, which did increase as he said it would. He also said that the next quarter will be off. While some on this thread enjoy ripping others apart because the others have different views, why ignore someone that actually has contacts in Asia, flys to Asia for information, and is far more informed than most of us on this thread. Without his posts, valuable information has been lost to this thread. Fortunately, I follow him on Prodigy and his SI thread. Some of you young kids will get the hair raising on your neck just because I dare say something. Your're so defensive! If you are 22 years old, let me ask you: Do you know more about the market than you did a year ago? Do you expect to know more about the market in a year from now? If the answer is yes, why do you tear some one up that has managed large funds in the past, like Mike Burke, and I believe, is probably worth millions, or an old man of 55, like me, who has 30 years experience in options (only 5 months full time trader)?
Both bulls and bears can make money on a stock like MU that trades in a range. The stock is moving the same number of points in both directions. The objective is to make money, and anyone that contributes SENSIBLE data should be welcomed without fear of being shredded by the other side that disagrees. I'm sure that there are many lurkers that read the thread, but are afraid of the flaming they might receive if they post.
Hopefully, everyone will lighten up a bit. Life is too short. Let's all make money, both directions. <gg> Patrick |
