I'd say Christians remember many passages. Islamic religions have public prayer. All or almost all Christian religions have many public ceremonies. Seldom can any single passage be used to define an absolute criterion of behavior. The specific passage you quote goes to the proper state mind of prayer. But when I proffer actions that encompass all I think globally and not just of the traditions of my particular religion. In the post your referred to I related my past experience of life and possible ways of looking at what I had experienced. The question was, was there any value to public prayer for children. The pledge of allegiance speaks of our nation under God. I thing denying someone the right to chose to express oneself with prayer is wrong. I really don't see anyone brainwashing any children these days because of a few minutes of prayer. There is plenty of sex and murder and lying politicians showing the dark side of being grown up. 70% of blacks are born out of wedlock. I really don't think life long damage will be done by a prayer or two. Tom watson tosiwmee
