George,
I think most folks that are long are in the same boat as you. All you can do is try and make some educated decisions and stick with them. Nope, havent heard anything negatove about ocpi......in fact, IBD had them as one od 10 must have stocks for the coming years......I think freeus posted the link on the home on the range thread awhile back. Opticals are just getting killed and will probably get killed some more after jdsu and a few others report.....but, I do like how ocpi is positioned in the metro market, and jdsu I like simply because they should be a FO Giant once all this is behind us. No guarantee's of course. NTAP versus emc....I have no idea....have always liked them both. I think storage will be a sector that grows over time and hopefully there will be enough pieces of the pie to go around....all we can do is wait and see. I know alot of people that are down on NTAP right now, and for good reason, and many others who are not down and are seeing this as a buying opportunity because they are looking further down the road.....who is correct? I dont know, and only time will tell. I would be curious to hear from some of the NTAP old timers like Unc Frank and a few others.......are yall holding, selling, buying more, or what? Is buying at $9.60 going to make me a happy camper in 5 years or are we sitting at $2 in 5 years? Would love to hear the viewpoints for the long term perspective from those more familiar with this company and this sector, and from those that have been in NTAP and held thru all this mess. I first started messing with ntap a year ago. I wanted to buy it around $50, but it ran away from me and I would not chase it. Watched as it went all the way to 150's, I think, and then started it's retreat. I bought and sold a few times on the way down, then bought and held at $19 ( went to 27 and came back to where we are now ), bought more at $10.39 or .49 and more at $9.60 or so. Next buy order is sitting at $5, although I may bump it up....it all depends........anyway, wouldlove to hear others opinions on the long term prospects of ntap from current levels....some feel it is a bargain, some feel it is still overpriced........
Good luck
