WHAT: SI Real Life Beach Party in Northern California
WHERE: San Francisco Bay Area, San Gregorio Beach, just south of Half Moon Bay. When you drive west down La Honda Road (Hwy 84), it ends into Hwy 1. Turn onto Hwy 1 going left (south, downhill). That driveway on the right, just 200 yards after getting onto Hwy 1, is the entrance for San Gregorio Beach. They charge for parking. On a nice day, I park at the 84 - 1 intersection on the side, and walk 10 min to get onto the beach. Some folks use Hwy 92 to get onto 1 at Half Moon Bay. Longer than taking 84 but less twisty. A plus for the motion dysphoric among us.
WHEN: Sunday June 29th, A crazy person with small children will be there around 9am to put up the giant SI Party Sign (well, a small cardboard sign really.) Other, more normal individuals will be arriving later with a cauldron and some Durian.
WHY: Do we need a reason to have a party? I think not.
PS: Walking on water will be cheered vigorously. |
