The natural place to look for leading indicators for the semi-equips are the semis. Sales for Q3 have been projected down from Q2 with a slight slowdown (on average) in rate of decline. Check the semi-equip prices when sales are projected flat to up slightly. If the equip prices are low, closer to '98 lows than 2001's, you have a buy!
