<Long live the strong-dollar-policy...> that's a biggie.A schism is forming on the good versus the bad on that one. Our slow down this time commenced from within,in 98,it commenced from without. So the strong dollar is hurting our more globally dependent corporations thus compounding our internal problems. Is a strong dollar compatible with a slowing GDP? <in any case the recession elsewhere is always deeper and longer than in the US.> i distrust the term "always" and removes the concept of a secular event from one's thinking. we will see how this plays over the next 12 months.Should be interesting.Max
