... while sounds admirable, seems to be a round about way to ... hey, get rid of the minimum wage.
To do what Greenspan is suggesting, which I also agree with, the eventual law must specify an age bracket within which there is no minimum wage, and to be on the safe side, a season of year and job category specification as well. This is so that Microsoft does not hire whole bunch of overseas programmers throughout the year.
Anyway, we do not have to worry about programming given that the job is too easily exportable, along with the product.
I took my office to lunch and to see Tomb Raider today, and I am told by China based client staff that the movie is already available on VCD selling for less than $1, apparently created from a master. This is very odd, as HK had just gotten the movie released on July 19th, and it is not yet released in China.
I would say matters are scrambled and the world is upside down.
