i think so too...i keep a close eye on all types of news that might have systemic implications, and i see all sorts of smoke signals. e.g., one part of the credit bubble has begun to shrink...that hasn't happened in over 10 years: commercial paper issuance is actually declining. it's a small sign, but in hindsight it may turn out to have been an important one. just as the COMP/NDX divergence at the top in March 2000 was the small sign that should have been heeded by everyone.
