No way, not as long as picking a side means having to support bozos and demagogs who just happen to be also on my side or making excuses for venal bullies. (Or trying to skate through by damning them with faint praise, an approach recently in play.) :-)

I don't think either side is labelled more than the other.

It seems to me that there are more righties than lefties on SI, which gives me the impression that there's more total abuse from the right although not necessarily per capita. Both sides have plenty of charm school flunk-outs, that's for sure.

I post mostly on this thread because it's usually more issues oriented than partisan. We seem to gravitate to matters of religion, which tends to line me up with the lefties. With a wider range of topics, it would be pretty obvious that I'm more than a bit right of center.

Thanks for the validation. Everybody can use some of that every now and again.
