it was still less than fairly valued for its royalty stream if they did get 2% royalties on DDR and 5% royalties on DDR controllers.

I doubt that sdram or ddr controllers are ever in danger of being subject to royalties as the things like latency register do not reside on the controller. The only way they would be subject would be the clocking scheme and you say that the ddr clocking scheme is very different from the rdram clocking scheme.

(I would like some links or details about that btw)

Interesting discussion about the auction effect of the stock market, which is definitely true for thinly traded shares.
