Every company in the sector has said there isn't a rebound coming for 12-18 months, so why should jdsu be any surprise? Maybe the size of the loss or headcount. Why would there be shorts who haven't covered? I mean, what is the upside in keeping a short of jdsu at 9 vs. the downside? So... if there isn't a short covering rally, then there has to be people who actually want to buy it for it to go up. Maybe traders will buy it trying it flip it for a few bucks. Personally, I think it probably trades sideways for a long time developing a base after it hits a final bottom. No wonder FEJ was willing to sell shares before earnings. I'm still amazed at the job losses in this sector. Much bigger than the dot.gones. TA
