A few casual notes.
It was a small meeting. Perhaps 10 people showed and I knew most of them. We sat at a large boardroom table. Briggs did a power point presentation on his computer screen. He also had topographical maps, photos, etc. After 2 hours at the boardroom table, we thanked TD Manager and all retired to a local pub for a few rounds. A nice informal meeting..... the type where you can really learn something.
For example there was a lot of discussion regarding use of IP (induced polarization) to confirm anomalies. Briggs said they had looked at using it. They also were in contact with companies who had used it. Results were mixed. Some had success, others didn't. One company he knew had spent over $200,000 with zero results. They never were able to get a charge into bedrock likely due to salinity. All considered they deduced it was not the best method. Drilling would be better now.
We discussed MMI vs conventional geochem, and the anomalies. PLY started by using MMI because of it's greater sensitivity but conventional geochem proved just as effective on their property. Being cheaper and results more widely accepted, that's been a happy outcome.
It was noted that mineralization in soils drops beneath the surface anomalies. This subject is well covered in Mosher's report. However it doesn't disappear as one person had thought. Briggs noted they had dug pits and also augered a hole to test soils at depth of 8 feet or so. Mineralization remained high, in fact higher than anticipated. However, Briggs was not confident in that bottom sample after augering. He wondered if it might have been compromised by material falling in from higher up the wall.... and so went the conversation. Lots of ruminating. Lots of conjecture.
People who like black and white answers won't get them at this stage of exploration. It doesn't happen. Those who expect them shouldn't invest in the business. Wish I could explain things better for my thread friend Gobbly but I can't. The answers simply are not known yet.
At this point, there are really only 2 questions left. Those questions are 1. Is bedrock the source of mineralization in surface anomalies and 2. if so, is bedrock mineralization rich enough to be ore.
PLY believe the best, most efficient step now is to drill. In my opinion you can bet your bottom dollar they will be doing exactly that. Drilling!! What I don't know is what they'll find and that's what makes life exciting. FWIW I think their chances are good but that's opinion. Time and a few dollars will tell. |
