Okay, to suit you we will pretend that there hundreds of white gangs running around Orange County. No need to see things as they are here, it's much more important to shape reality to fit our preferences. Like the drive-by murder last month one block from my sister's house; three blocks from where I grew up out here. Oh sure, just because this was the first such killing I know of in that neighborhood since I arrived in 1966, killings like that could have happened all the time before the demographics changed. One never did, but you just can't learn anything from that. Just because it did happen amongst a group that has a long record of multi-generational street gangs, it's like a completely unheard of coincidence. I'm sure you agree.

And how about the band that played at a venue a few blocks from my parent's home- the band whose hit is "Dead Gringo"? That's a cheery little number which promotes cultural harmony. I suppose if one of their fans had been driven to an excess of brotherly love and killed a few old gringos, why, it wouldn't be much of price to pay, would it? Like when old Mr Quille was assaulted in the city park by a happy band of "Swedes", overflowing with love for all mankind. Maybe the 70 year old Quille just looked threatening. Well, he died a month later, I'm sure it was just a coincidence. He probably deserved it, he was an old gringo.
