Japan, the second largest economy in the world. Its stock market just hit a new 16 year low when it dipped below 12000. This will affect the rest of the world.

About the tax checks in the mail this will be hyped as to pump up consumer spending. If it does, it will only be temporary. This is a one time check for $300 to $600. It is not like the IRS, the kind angels which they are -- they are not going to send us a monthly check for 600 every month. This would help, but this one time shot in the arm is a joke.

It may pumps up the stock market for a month or two.
After then it is goign to get very ugly for the equity markets..
