heinz, thanks for the discourse on commercial paper and it's uses. It sounds like further evidence of credit contraction -- not such a 'small sign', imo. <g>

btw, I meant 'allowed' in the sense that gold hasn't been 'allowed' to go up ... so this is another crack in the facade, it seems.

i think this is not going to be a garden variety downturn...
