Ok... well this was exactly like Win 95. It was SUPPOSED to be that way too. I just kind of have doubts that new pc's aren't going to be on most people's lists (Why buy something to replace something I have when I didn't spend last year and there are digital cameras, digital vcr's, etc out there with big discounts as well). Why do I think spending will be tighter than maybe you think? Cuz there are still lots of layoffs out there and by Christmas it should get to people's psychology. I think this Christmas will be alot better than last, but that doesn't mean people will just buy buy buy.

Some buddies of mine at Symc told me today they hope that XP drives sales but they don't think it will take off all that quickly and don't see any reason that anyone would just go and replace computers... this from a company that should also benefit from pc sales increasing and from techies that tend to buy all the bells and whistles. None of them plan on buying a new pc.

They do think it has a VERY NICE remote control in it though and think that eventually it will put PC Anywhere out of biz.
