Yes of course. Jesus didn't say do it in secret so you don't annoy the non-believers or make them uncomfortable. The kind of prayer He is talking about there is an intimate conversation with God.

But there are also other purposes for prayer: praise, thanksgiving and worship. And it is proper to do that anytime anywhere and as loud as you feel it.
