Hi DJ, The tug-of-war between the longs and shorts are in dead heat, and maybe, just maybe, if the shorts feel enough pain, give up the rope, then the longs will win, holding on to the now freed rope, straight down the cliff that they were standing on, with the shorts watching, in fascination.

So, let go of the pain, let the bulls 'win', and fall down the cliff, without them dragging you along for the fall.

<<Imagine there's a crash and nobody sells>>

That would be a particularly nasty kind of crash. A crash of zero transactions, no commotion, both ask-less and bid-less. Just silence.

On a separate issue, what would happen if a country introduce gold coins as legal tender? Would its paper currency rise in value, would it run out of gold? No need to address this musing of mine:0)

Chugs, Jay
