Since you can do a normal shutdown by disabling the Linksys card or changing the video display and Linksys has already tried helping I'd try that driver update first. This looks like the ticket. The site suggests the non-WHQL driver. nvidia.com Here's a link with several steps you might want to look at. ccs.org You also might check at your computer manufacturer's site for the recommended driver. They may have the driver that has been tested and proven to work with your system and should support it. Edit in: Just found this. On the video issue, Bill Halvorsen documented that the latest “Detonator” drivers for his GEforce video card caused a shutdown problem — solved by returning to an earlier driver version.
