fp_scientist ... I am not going to be making many personal comments about Abiomed here ... rather, I am going to be a resource for news ... however, the stocks weakness after the successful implant is caused by three factors, in my opinion ... (1) company management has actively and successfully sought to keep expectations at a low level (for which I applaud them) ... (2) there is an active and at this point successful campaign in short-interest to make money by driving the price down ... and (3) stock market conditions have been pretty poor ... ... I own 4,000 shares right dating back to March, 1999 ... I have visited the company (which is only a 1/2 hour drive from my home), I attend their annual meetings and follow them very closely in general ... I also have a friend who works for a brokerage house who has been involved with Abiomed since the mid-1980s ... and lastly, and personally, I could not be more proud to be a shareholder ... this is a truly great company, in my opinion ... ...
