The Democrats, under both Clintons, perfected the state of the art of the "perpetual campaign", constructing a permanent propaganda machine indistinguishable from Goebbels Reichministry of Propaganda, which worked is evil magic from 1933 to 1945. The Clinton clone of Hitlerism was very effective, eventually forcing half of the members of the US Senate to violate their oath of office to defend the constitution.

As a result, it is now a permanent part of our politics, and we will begin to see the kind of national leaders it produces. Before the new environment of this Clinton innovation, it is likely that both Condit and Torricelli would have resigned by now, much to the Democrats' embarrassment and well-deserved loss of influence. Now, they not only "own" these guys, they ARE these guys...
