People play interesting definitional games. I discovered years ago that some people are vehement in denying that adultery is adultery, because there is no neutral word, and they consider some love affairs to be legitimate, and hence eschew the connotation of "adultery".

Of course, if failure to have coitus were the criterion for virginity, then homosexuals, and especially lesbians, would be virgins (depending on how one counted anal sex or the use of prostheses)......
