WMC: What's all the excitement about? Majors prowling around their gold holdings. Just rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic? Price tag looks a little high as properties not really that great. Who is going to pay even $50/oz for 195 cash cost reserves? Is this the solution to the reserve issue?:
globalarchive.ft.com

2000 gold production: 797K
St. Ives: 408K @ c.c 190, 2 million reserves, extensive exploration effort may extend life. High cash cost make exploring a so so bet.
Agnew: 210K @ c.c 198, 625K reserve
Central Norseman: 110K @ c.c 195, limited reserves remaining

Also produces gold as byproduct of Olympic Dam copper mine, likely not included in a sale.

The plum here may be Meliadine (Nunavat), JVed with Cumberland Resources with a five million oz resource. Cash cost are projected in the 175 plus area, which is not economical at 265 POG. Will have to be tweaked to work.
