Yes have considered it, currently selling covered calls and in a limited short selling mode. Perhaps it's time to get back in with DCA - but because I live in the Bay Area I am probably a little more worried for the next 6 months than those subject to the sentiments of other regions. For the first time in many years there are House For Rent and Apartment For Rent signs posted on telephone poles - and they seem to be staying up. Layoffs are accelerating, not trickling down as many predicted. Great companies like Sun Micro and HP are punting and putting their defenses on the field. The asking prices for homes continue to rise with all the questionable conditions imposed on the buyers by real estate agencies. There is still bigtime denial here. When the reality strikes, the fear-based capitulation and MOABO could be colossal - well that's my thinking. But I see where DCA is insurance in case the web trading and phone trading access is down during a MOABO period.
